Skechers Walk Fundraiser
👟 Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk
Join the Montemalaga team for the annual Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk! 🌊☀️
Get Excited for this year's Skecher's Friendship Walk, October 18th @ 9am, hosted locally at Montemalaga!
Did you know the Skecher's Walk is PEF's largest fundraiser of the year? That's because Skechers matches EVERY $30 walker registrant. If you want to donate more to this great cause, sign up additional walkers so those donations will be matched as well. Even your dog can register! Mark October 18th @ 9am on your calendar! This year Montemalaga is hosting a Virtual Walk on the lower fields...so you can support your school, hang with your friends and have fun while doing it! All registrants will receive a GOLDEN FEATHER and the class with the most participants will win an ICE CREAM PARTY! Let's go Eagles!!

Please plan accordingly for an early dismissal, and be sure to check with your child’s teacher for your conference time.

Battle of the Books Info Session
Love to Read? Join Battle of the Books
WHO: 3rd, 4th, 5th graders
WHAT: voluntary reading club, where we read up to 28 books from a specific list over the school year, then “battle” on teams with other PV schools about the books in the spring
WHEN: meets monthly on a Monday during lunch recess in Room 16

Back to School Night
Kick off the new school year with us! Join us for Back to School Night on September 10 from 5:00–7:00 PM.

PTA General Board Meeting
Join us for our first General PTA Meeting of the school year! We’ll gather in the Montemalaga Library on September 8 from 9:00–11:00 AM to kick off the year, connect with fellow parents, and learn what’s ahead for our school community.

Coffee after Drop-Off
Want a sneak peek at what’s new this year? Grab a cup of coffee, meet other parents, and learn about upcoming events, programs, and ways to get involved. Come find out what makes Montemalaga so special!
You can also complete your volunteer clearance, including TB clearance sign-off and Live Scan, while you’re there.
Live Scan: $20 — cash or credit card accepted.
TB clearance and Live Scan are required to volunteer on campus.
School Supply Drop-Off
Got those new pencils, crayons, and school supplies ready? Drop them off between 10 AM–12 PM the day before school so everything is waiting in the classroom for the first day!
Bring supplies to the MPR, or stay in your car and drive through the roundabout—our volunteers will collect them for you!
This event is completely optional. Thank you for helping your child start the school year ready to learn!
TK/Kinder/New Fam Welcome Day
Welcome to Montemalaga! Join us from 3:30–4:30 PM in the TK Yard to meet our principal, PTA Executive Board, and other new families.
TK and Kinder students can explore campus, meet their teachers, visit their classrooms, and make new friends before the big first day! New families will also have an opportunity to tour the school and get familiar with campus.
Light snacks and craft activities will be provided by the PTA. We can’t wait to welcome you to Montemalaga!
